South Riding Is A Suburban Community Making History

Travel to Loudoun County in Northern Virginia and you will find the suburban community of South Riding. Only 29 miles from Washington D.C., South Riding was a planned community first developed in 1995 by the non-profit, non-stock South Riding Proprietary corporation in one of the richest counties in the nation. This suburban community has grown by leaps and bounds economically and socially, as it now has a population of over 25,000 residents who make a median household income of $160,000.

South Riding is what would be considered a corridor community. People make the daily commute from the city to the accessible technology firms and other employment opportunities located in Dulles, Tysons Corner and Reston areas as well as the greater job opportunities in Washington D.C. South Riding is far from being a sleepy community despite its size and rural location. The affluent residents enjoy a host of high-end amenities and recreational events that makes living in such a community a slice of paradise in Northern Virginia.
