Karen’s Profile

Being a life-long resident of Northern Virginia affords real estate broker, Karen Parker, insights which serve to set her apart from others. Using those insights in her real estate business is what makes Karen the successful person and realtor that she is and her strong ability to read and understand her clients’ needs is why she has both a stellar repeat business, and an abundance of referrals. After working with Karen, clients are not surprised to learn that over seventy-five percent of her business stems from referrals. Ask Karen what makes her clients return and feel confident in referring others and she is quick to say it is because she is not just their realtor – she truly becomes their friend – and everyone has fun in the process! Karen’s passion and intuitive business sense creates the avenue by which her clients see their goals achieved in buying or selling their home.

In 2002 Karen, a graduate from Mary Washington University with a master’s degree from American University, made the leap to real estate – a decision that she believes gifts her every opportunity to help people. In addition to utilizing talents to find just the right home for her clients, Karen is also able to continue to make a difference to others in the philanthropy that is realized as a result of her hard work and many successes. For the past nine years, Karen has been recognized as a Top Producer by the Northern Virginia Associate of Realtors (NVAR), and Keller Williams Realty, and these successes have allowed her to pay it forward and give back to the community – a top priority for Karen. Karen’s passionate charities include both veterans and animal groups.

As a licensed Realtor and broker in D.C., Maryland and Virginia with over fifteen years of experience, Karen knows the importance of taking a pro-active approach in the real estate process. Staying informed of current loan programs that allows her clients to choose from the best available options, along with understanding market statistics, neighborhood sales, and current market trends, is what gives Karen the edge in representing her clients. Equally critical is ongoing real estate education – as contractual changes and real estate laws are constantly changing – Karen remains remarkably effective as a result of her knowledge in these areas.

In utilizing Karen as a Realtor, clients learn why Karen stands apart. As a Realtor, they can be assured they are in the hands of a person who has the ability to navigate, with great ease, the complex process of buying or selling their home. Having a professional who continues to place clients first, takes the time to understand individual needs and desires, fully grasps the art of negotiation and why it is such a critical element in garnering the very best at the end of the day, is why Karen continues to be a top producer. Karen, the consummate professional, strives to be the agent that she would want to hire!

A broad range of real estate services make up the Karen Parker package available to clients; from finding an investment property, to relocation services, condominium and home sales. Getting top dollar for a home is the goal of any seller and Karen, an accredited ASP Home Stager, possesses a keen eye for helping clients create the setting that allows their home to stand out among the competition. Thorough marketing – from beginning to end – ensures the best for her client and in the end produces a truly satisfied customer.

Karen’s successes in home sales, home staging, and other marketing strategies make her a sought-after expert on the popular HGTV shows, “Designed to Sell” and “Get it Sold”. She has also been featured on Channel 8 News and as a radio guest host. A resident of Ashburn, Virginia, Karen lives with her husband, their 2 dogs, Leto & Rezzie and has recently rescued an abandoned parakeet from a home who has since earned the name, Mr. Budgie. Karen spent over twelve years as a nationally-licensed coach for competitive girls’ soccer and also served in the Olympic Development Program in Virginia. She and her husband enjoy traveling, experiencing new cultures, and are currently planning their next foray to explore a new land.
